Lincoln's letter to "little people"

Washington, April 5, 1864

Mrs. Horace Mann

Madam

The petition of persons under the age of 18 who pray that I release all child slaves, and whose title you wrote, was given to me a few days ago by Senator Sumner. Please tell these little people that I am very happy that their young hearts are full of justice and generous compassion, and that although I do not have the power to guarantee them what they ask for, I am sure they remember that there is such a power with God, and what He seems to want to do.

Sincerely, A. Lincoln

Madam
It has been noted that it has been the case for senator Sumner. If you are looking for it, it will help you. It seems he wills to do it.
Yours truly
A. Lincoln
